ROBOT LOVE Returns

By PAM HARBAUGH

Hey Elon Musk…forget all these A.I. fears you talked about in Vanity Fair. Come to Brevard this weekend to partake in ROBOT LOVE 2017, a two-day cyber orgy of art, music, dance, bouldering, tech, food and drink.

Robot Love 2017This time around, it’s being planned by DEREK GORES, CLIFFTON CHANDLER, MARTY MERCADO and RYAN SPEER.

In years past, it’s been held at what is now the Foosaner Art Museum, at a very large, empty storefront, and then the Renee Foosaner Education Center. This time it’s continuing its quest to blow off socks by being held in a 30,000 square foot facility — Adventure HQ, a big bring your physical climbing facility.

So, yeah, this has definitely popped out of the box.

There’s gonna be: visual art galore like colossal murals, immersive art installations, works by more than 60 artists; music by groups like SWIMM, Allison Weiss, Davinci, Gary Lazer Eyes, Dull Blades, Kongom; DJ-ing by Casey DeCotis an Luis Diaz; dance by Sole180, Tech Wars BBoy Battle; Desiree Parkman; Dance Arts Centre Michael Sloan and the return of MUSCLE MEMORY, Marty Mercado’s experimental-ish dance troupe.

And some kind of rock climbing / technology mashup that we’ll all wanna see.Robot Love Left Right 2017
