You asked…no, you DEMANDED…and Melbourne Civic Theatre peeps have responded.

Three performances have been added to its riotously popular, nearly sold out run of the Neil Simon farce, RUMORS. Those dates are: Thursdays, March 30, April 20 and April 27 at 8 p.m.

So hop like a bunny and get online to secure those tickets. That’s right, don’t call, don’t go in person…suck it up and enter your credit card number on a website and get your damn tickets. Truth be told, you CAN call or go in person, but you may miss out.

And in case you’re just now coming out of a coma, here’s the skinny: MCT director Peg Girard has assembled a dream team cast for this comedy. Most of the cast have done this show before, together even, to such rave reviews that they quickly sold out those earlier productions as well.

She even got brought back to the stage Mr. Bob Campbell, one of Brevard’s favorite actors and now an ex-pat who moved nawth. Other faves include Terrence Girard, Steven Wolf, Sally Contess, Susan Suomi, Michael Thompson, Rita Moreno, Sandy Ganio and Peg Girard herself, who is, for the fourth time, “Cookie” in the show.

Hmmm..I feel as though I’m forgetting someone…now WHO could that be…ah yes, Adrian Cahill! (wink wink nudge nudge)

The show is a laugh riot. It’s set in a comfy home of a NYC politician who is celebrating his anniversary. It starts with the sound of a gunshot and accelerates from there.

Melbourne Civic Theatre is at 817 E. Strawbrige Ave., Melbourne. RUMORS runs through April 30. Tickets are $29 and $31. Call 321-723-6935, visit MyMCT.org or click onto their ad.
