By PAM HARBAUGH

I’ve got some bad news and some good news. First, the bad news — this is the final weekend of VENUS IN FUR at the Henegar. This has been such an artsy joy for me working with a great cast and crew, I’m gonna be lost when the show ends Sunday. Now the good news….this is the final weekend of VENUS IN FUR at the Henegar and I won’t be pestering you any longer about coming to see it. Here’s the down and dirty…curtain is 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Henegar Center, 625 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne. This is in the 80-seat second floor studio theater with seating on both sides of the “stage” (so it’s very unlike most theater around here). Tickets are $16 to $26. Call 321-723-8698, visit henegar.org, or click onto the ad on the right side of this column. Read more here.

If you have already bought your $250 ticket, then remember — tonight’s the night for SYMPHONY FOR THE PALATE 2016. This annual event raises money for the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and is one of the classiest fundraisers in Brevard County. It features a five-course gourmet dinner with wine pairing and so much more. It begins 6 p.m. tonight at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club. If you didn’t sign up for it this year, then start sticking a few dollars each week into a piggy bank and do it next year. It’s really grand and just so much fun. Click here for more information.
