FOODIES: Big Name Chefs ‘Perform’ at Dr. Phillips Center

Food mixes with performance “art,” so to speak, in the new series “Chefs at Dr. Phillips Center” which features big name TV chef personalities and authors.

It begins Dec. 1 when Emeril Lagasse hits the big stage at Dr. Phillips Center. Following him will be Ina “The Barefoot Contessa” Garten on Jan. 21, 2016; then Guy Fieri on Feb. 11, 2016.

Tickets to the entire series go on sale Friday, Aug. 21, so get ready to pounce.

The trio will share their love for food as well as some of their favorite recipes and tips for all those chefs out there.

Emeril LagasseEMERIL LAGASSE, known as much for his iconic “BAM!” as he is for his scrumptious cuisine, is a big presence here thanks to his popular restaurants, Emeril’s Orlando and Emeril’s Tchoup Chop in Universal’s CityWalk. His 19th cookbook, Essential Emeril is scheduled to be released in October. He appears 8 p.m. Dec. 1.

Ina Garten (CREDIT Brigitte Lacombe)INA GARTEN, wrote her first best-selling cookbook, The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook, in 1999. She has written seven more since then. She is the star of the Food Network’s Emmy-winning show, “Barefoot Contessa.” She appears Jan. 21, 2016.

Guy FieriGUY FIERI, is a chef, restaurateur, author and host of the Food Network’s popular “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” His first restaurant, Johnny Garlics, is in his hometown of Santa Rosa, Calif. But now, he also has seven more restaurants and is a New York Times best-selling cookbook author. He appears Feb. 11, 2016.
