In Conversation with Peg Girard

One of director Peg Girard’s favorite plays is the 1951 play “Picnic” written by William Inge. The writing and story content thrill her, she says. As does the glimpse into 1952 rural Kansas. It opens June 5 at Melbourne Civic Theatre and runs through July 5.

I sat down with her earlier this week to talk to her about one scene in particular that excites her. However, as our conversations usually go, we drifted into other theatrical topics as well.
