CAROLINE HINTON in Christmas Concert

By PAM HARBAUGH

One of the area’s most wonderful vocalists, Caroline Hinton, will bring her special holiday program, “An Enchanted Christmas,” to the stage 7 p.m. Sunday in the Scott Center at Holy Trinity Episcopal Upper Academy in Melbourne.

Also featured on stage will be a chamber orchestra led by Daniel Klintworth. Joining her will be “Better than Broadway Studio” which will perform a dance and “Fermata Stars” will perform acapella.

Truly, Ms. Hinton is a delightful performer. Regular Cocoa Village Playhouse patrons will recall her winning performances of Nellie Forbush in “South Pacific” and Marion Paroo in “The Music Man.” If you look below, you’ll see some video of Ms. Hinton in performance.

And, yes, there remains a strong Cocoa Village Playhouse connection, even though the show is at the Scott Center. Ms. Hinton has been helped a great deal by Jeremy Phelps, one of those do-every-thing CVP behind the scenes artists.

The show runs about two hours and, according to Ms. Hinton, includes some of the “most beautiful songs the Christmas season has to offer.”

Tickets are $25 general and $35 premium. The Scott Center is on the campus of Holy Trinity Episcopal Upper Academy, 5625 Holy Trinity Drive, Melbourne. Call 800-838-3006 or visit EnchantedChristmas.bpt.me.
