The Henegar will hold professional and non-professional auditions for both ‘Memphis’ and ‘Smokey Joe’s Cafe’ Aug. 7 to 10. Professional performers (both Equity and non-Equity) will audition by appointment 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Professional performers are expected to attend the dance call 1 to 2 p.m. Friday and noon to 1 p.m. Saturday. Limited housing available is available for professional performers. Auditions for non-professional performers begin 7 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. No appointment necessary.
“Memphis” runs Oct. 2 to 18, with rehearsals beginning Aug. 30. “Smokey Joe’s Cafe” runs Jan. 15 to 31. (Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances), with rehearsals beginning in December (exact date TBA).

Cocoa Village Playhouse will hold auditions beginning 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8 & 9, for the new musical, “Sherlock in Love,” a new musical written by Tony Macaulay (“Build Me Up Buttercup – The Musical” and “Windy City”).
