THEATER:

MATILDA the Musical opens tonight and runs through Sept. 1 at Titusville Playhouse. I saw the dress rehearsal and wow…Jordyn Linkous keeps raising his actors’ street cred with his exquisite comic performance of Miss Trunchbull and Sarah Biggs as Miss Honey finally gets to show off her sweet and sugar singer’s chops. FORCED TO FLEE refugee quilt exhibit runs through Aug. 24 at the Ruth Funk Center. Here is what the website says: “The Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts at Florida Tech and Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) premiere Forced to Flee. This powerful exhibition features 36 quilts tackling subjects ranging from human conflict to natural disasters.
