Get! Out!

WEEKEND CULTURAL UPDATES

By PAM HARBAUGH

CANCELED: Seems like this crummy cold is spreading fast. A couple of performers with the NOT QUITE RIGHT PLAYERS are not quite right, so tonight’s “Oranga Tanga” show has been canceled (…that’s tonight as in Dec. 15, 2018). But keep an eye on the company’s New Year’s Eve bash. Read more by clicking here.

The brilliant musician Damion Suomi, son of the briliant actress Susan Suomi, performs this evening at the very sweet and growing-in-popularity Irish pub called THE COTTAGE. It’s at 1385 Highland Ave., in the Eau Gallie Arts District of Melbourne. Yes, this has been the spot where other restaurants entered stage right and exited stage left with the comic regularity of a Marx Brothers bit…but The Cottage is making it work. Oh, and if you can get a ticket for SANTALAND DIARIES in the 2nd Stage at Titusville Playhouse, do it. The show runs through tomorrow and stars Patrick Ryan Sullivan who is brilliant in it. Directed by Niko Stamos, Mr. Sullivan brings a very unexpected and warm interpretation of David Sedaris’ otherwise snarky monologue. Mr. Sullivan is such a fine actor, it’s just so satisfying to see him bring the depth, humor and humanity to this one-man play. Read more about it here.
