The Brevard Symphony Orchestra winds up its season Saturday April 1 with works by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms.

Conducted by Maestro Christopher Confessore, the concert features violinist Elmar Oliveira. A favorite among BSO audiences, Mr. Oliveira is the only American violinist to win the Gold Medal at at the prestigious Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow. He was also the first violinist to receive the Avery Fisher Prize and win the Naumburg International Competition.

He has performed with big named symphonies around the world including the Boston Symphony, London Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic and New York Philharmonic. He is Distinguished Artist in Residence at the Lynn University Conservatory of Music in Boca Raton, Florida.

The April 1 concert includes: Leopold Stokowski arrangement of Bach’s Air on the G String; Beethoven’s epic Violin Concerto, featuring Mr. Oliveira; and Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 of Johannes Brahms.

The concert begins 8 p.m. April 1 at the King Center, 3865 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne. Tickets begin at $39 for adults with special ticket prices for teachers, students, active military and the Orchestra’s social media followers.
