Get! Out!

GET OUT! Oct. 8 and 9

By PAM HARBAUGH

Yes, you may still want to GET OUT, but first, you have to COME BACK.

Here’s a quick look at what’s happening and what’s NOT happening the remainder of this weekend. And…here’s hoping all you BREVARD CULTURE readers weathered Hurricane Matthew without too much damage.

Photo by Max Thornton.MAURITIUS at Melbourne Civic Theatre WILL RUN AS SCHEDULED 8 p.m. tonight, Saturday, and 2 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday. This is a smart production of a wily play filled with intrigue and angst. It is directed with high concept style by Peg Girard and performed with both ease and intensity by a terrific cast. The play concerns a woman wanting to sell a stamp she believes to be priceless, her greedy sister and a cunning philatelist. In addition to intelligence, there’s plenty of adult language in this show (which is really very funny). The show runs through Nov. 6. at MCT, 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne. Tickets are $26 to $28. Call 321-723-6935, visit MyMCT.org or click onto their ad.
