The Space Coast Ballet will hold auditions Saturday, Aug. 27, for its annual production of “The Nutcracker.”

This is a glorious production, with costumes and props designed and constructed at the Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia. The choreography is rich and the lighting and sets sumptuous.

So, yes, it’s quite the opportunity for area boys and girls interested in cultural pursuits.

The auditions will be held in Eastern Florida State College Building 9, room 198 A. The schedule is 11:30 a.m. for girls ages 3 to 7; noon for girls ages 8 to 9; 12:30 p.m. for boys and girls ages 5 to 14; and 1 p.m. girls ages 12 and older on pointe.
