MCT Play Reading ‘MURDERERS’

From a previous MCT public reading — “Third” by Wendy Wasserstein.

By PAM HARBAUGH

Melbourne Civic Theatre presents its next play reading at 2 p.m. Saturday with Jeffrey Hatchers’ dark comedy “Murderers.”

The play comprises three vignettes, all set in a Florida golfing retirement community, where diabolical plans result in three murders. (If you want to read my ATCA colleague Misha Berson’s smart review of Seattle Rep’s production, click here.)

The reading is directed by Terrence Girard and features Nadine Antaillia, Anthony De Trano and Sidney Coash.

The reading begins at 2 p.m. and you’ll be out in plenty of time for tea. MCT is at 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne. Admission is free, but please do tuck at least $5 into their donation jar in order to cover expenses like royalties and a/c.
