Dress up, you have somewhere to go. Brevard is teeming with entertainment to keep you happy this rainy and cool weekend.

“THE UNDERPANTS, a new production opens tonight at Melbourne Civic Theatre. It’s “The Underpants,” a comedy adapted by Steve Martin from Carl Sternheim’s 1911 play “Die Hose.” No, that does not translate into a command for some garden equipment to kick the bucket. It’s German for “the trousers” or “the pants.” It’s a farce set in 1910 German household and kickstarts when a lady’s bloomers fall down. It runs through Feb. 28 at Melbourne Civic Theatre, 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne. Tickets are $25 general admission and $23 for seniors, students and military. Call 321-723-6935, visit MyMCT.org or simply click onto the ad on the right side of this page.

“GUYS AND DOLLS” opens tonight at Surfside Playhouse and runs through Feb. 7. This leggy musical may have been written more than 50 years ago, but American theater luminaries Frank Loesser, Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling really knew what they were doing when they created it. The storyline concerns gamblers and do-gooders and is filled with fun music. Surfside Playhouse is at 301 Ramp Road, Cocoa Beach. Tickets are $22 general, $20 senior and military and $17 student. Call 321-783-3127 or visit SurfsidePlayers.com.
