Staffers and volunteers at the Renee Foosaner Education Center are in the midst of preparing an enormous exhibition of children’s art made at the Center’s summer camps this year.

Sara Russo, curator of education for the Foosaner, said there will be more than 600 pieces on view.

“This was a record for us,” she said. “Kids crave art. During most of other time during the year they don’t have as much of an opportunity to get hands on. There are a lot of options for kids over the summer as far as activities and camps go. So I’m proud that people chose the Foosaner.”

Here’s a short video about the event (be sure to read when/where/contact info below the video):

The white walls inside the Education Center will be festooned with art. It will be on view to the public from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, in time for EGAD’s August First Friday event.
