While opera is the usual metier for Samar Salamé, the internationally acclaimed soprano will perform a wide range of music at her concert 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18.

Not only will there be the typical repertoire of Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Bizet and others of that heady ilk, but guests will also enjoy standards by Leonard Bernstsein, Kurt Weil, Andrew Lloyd Webber and even The Beatles.

Joining Ms. Salamé will be Florida Tech music instructors Eliza Healy Dopira and Kyle Knappenberger. Both Ms. Dopira and Mr. Knappenberger have made names for themselves in the area for their beautiful operatic performances. The duo performed last season at a Brevard Symphony Orchestra guild fundraiser at the gracious Melbourne Beach home of Dr. and Mrs. Bragdon.

This will be the North American debut for Ms. Salamé, who resides in Paris, France.

It begins 4 p.m. Sunday in the Gleason Performing Arts Center on the campus of Florida Tech, 150 W. University Blvd., Melbourne. Tickets are $45 to $75 general admission. VIP tickets are $125 and offer receptions both before and after the concert as well as a meet and greet with Ms. Salame. Proceeds from the concert will help support scholarships and programming costs for Florida Tech’s music program. Valet parking available. Call 321-674-7165 or click here.
